Thomas F. Moro's Obituary
Thomas F. Moro, 69, of Pennellville, passed away Saturday, September 30, 2017 at Crouse Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Syracuse, son of the late Thomas D. and Patricia M. (Tait) Moro. Tom was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was employed as an Engineer with CSX for 41 years. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting. Diane and Tom wintered at their home in Marco Island, and cherished time spent with their Port of the Islands family. Tom loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Anthony Colagiovanni.
Tom is survived by his loving wife of 15 years, Diane (Giarrusso) Moro; his children, John (Michelle) Colagiovanni III and Heather (James) Miller; six grandchildren, Ethan, Julian, Ashton, John IV, Haidyn, and Connor; four brothers, Roy (Maria) Moro, Edward (Charlotte) Moro, Nicholas Moro, and Anthony (Lori) Moro; two sisters, Patricia Bombardo (Michael) and Dierdre Esposito (John), along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 9:00 am on Friday, October 6, 2017 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Funeral Mass in celebration of Tom’s life at 10:00 am in Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church. Entombment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Family and friends may call from 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
