Thomas V. Napolitano's Obituary
Thomas V. Napolitano, 76, passed away peacefully on Friday surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Syracuse, son of the late Thelma (Poulsen) and Vincent Napolitano. Tom attended Manlius Military Academy and later went on to receive his bachelor’s degree from the University at Buffalo. Tom was an excellent athlete excelling in football from North High School through his days at the Philadelphia Eagles Training Camp. He was the owner of Vintage Wood in Syracuse where he was very talented at restoring antique furniture. Tom enjoyed building motorcycles and listening to music, fishing, history, nature and meeting people and having conversations with his many friends. He was a lover of animals, rescuing many dogs over the years. Tom demonstrated his love for his family and friends by always showering them with gifts, cards and notes.
Tom is survived by his beloved daughters, Jessica VonGuinness and Catherine Napolitano; sisters, Cathy (Frank) Mucci and Beverly (John) Granone; nieces and nephews, Anthony Nappi, Jennifer (Christopher) Ignacio, Frank Mucci, Jr., Johnny Granone; great-niece, Novi Ignacio; his best friend and longtime companion, Pamela E. Pinto, and his dog, Eddie Spaghetti.
A calling hour will be held on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Noon at St. John the Baptist / Holy Trinity Church, 406 Court Street in Syracuse. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery in Warners.
