Thomas Edward Roche's Obituary
Thomas Edward Roche, 70, of North Syracuse, passed away on Tuesday, January 28 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
Born and raised in the Tipperary Hill neighborhood, Tom was a 1961 graduate of St. Patrick's High School where he lettered in baseball and basketball. Tom retired from American Airlines in 2003 after 36 years of service. He was an avid fan of Syracuse University athletics and was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church.
Tom was predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Mary (Nash) Roche; brother, William Roche and nephew, Robert Roche.
Tom is survived by his wife of 42 years, Marie (Pichura) Roche; daughter, Ann Marie (Steve) Morey of Camillus; son, Kevin (Wendy) Roche of Rochester; twin grandsons, Ryan and Matthew Morey; grandson, Nathan Roche; sister-in-law, Ann Roche Page; brother-in-law, Richard (Rose) Pichura; sister-in-law, Renee (Robert) Fiorito and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Dr. Wong, Lexi and the staff of Hematology/Oncology of CNY as well as Vicki, Marilyn and the staff of Hospice of CNY for their compassionate care.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 9am in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME and 10am in St. Rose of Lima Church. Burial will follow at Assumption Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Road (corner of Buckley Road) North Syracuse on Friday from 4pm to 7pm.
