Thomas P. Sacco, Jr.'s Obituary
Thomas P. Sacco, Jr., 78, of Lyncourt, passed away peacefully with his family by his side. Tom was employed at New Process Gear, retiring in 2002 after 38 years as the Occupational Health and Safety Manager. Tom was a communicant of Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peters Church.
Tom enjoyed fishing, golfing, horse racing, going to the casino, and was an avid Yankees fan. He most enjoyed spending summers on his boat, “My Roselyn,” with Roz and their dog Kovu. His life revolved around his family. He was actively involved in Lyncourt Little League as a coach. He loved to watch his kids and grandkids in their many sports, concerts, plays, and watching TJ perform. Tom and his wife loved to travel, especially many trips to Disney with the whole family, and his lifelong dream was fulfilled with their trips to Italy.
Tom is predeceased by his parents Thomas and Florence Sacco, brother Ralph Sacco, in-laws John and Clara Centore.
He is survived by his best friend and wife of 56 years, Roselyn (Centore); daughters Linda Runfola, Lauri (Mike) Ziparo, and TJ (Nicole) Sacco; grandchildren Nicole, Renee, and Tyler Runfola, Michaela Ziparo, and Samantha Sacco; great-grandchildren Carly and Elliot (Runfola) Terek; brothers, Dr. Louis (MaryAnne) Sacco, Joseph Sacco; sister, Patty Ann (Frank) Steele; Sisters-in-law, Patricia Sacco and, Marie (Brian) Grace; and brother in law, John Centore.
his godchildren John Centore III, Alexis Goble and Daniel Sacco, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family including Lynn Campolo and Tiffany Conboy.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, December 20, 2021, from 11am – 1pm at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY, followed by a Funeral Mass in celebration of Tom’s life at 2pm at Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church, 301 Ash St., Syracuse, NY. To attend the mass remotely, please visit Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Facebook page at 2pm Monday. He will be laid to rest in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum.
