Toni Capurso-Blackmon's Obituary
It is with broken hearts and deep love that we say "until we meet again" to Toni M. Capurso-Blackmon, who after a brief struggle with cancer, passed away Saturday June 14, 2025 at the age of 71. She resided with her husband Myron N. Blackmon in Liverpool, NY.
Toni was born on August 13, 1953 in Syracuse, N.Y. to Frank and Margaret Capurso. Toni worked at Peace Inc. for more than ten years. She was an avid reader, had a passion for decorating and loved going on adventures with Myron.
Toni is survived by her best friend and husband, Myron N. Blackmon; children - Camille Durant-Harvey, and Earl V. Ford III; stepdaughter, Teagan Cosgrove-Blackmon; grandchildren - Mark Ford, Darius Ford, Princess Ford, Essiah Durant-Harvey, Kamille Ford, Kamoni Ford, Aubrianna Ford, and Deryn Ford; four great grandchildren; two brothers; two sisters; two sisters-in-law and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Her daughter Camille feels blessed beyond measure to have called her mom. Toni was her guide, her greatest supporter, her best friend and her safe place in the world.
The love she gave to her children shaped them and will stay with them forever.
Toni was truly the heart of the family! A devoted wife, an incredible mom, a loving grandmother, and a proud great grandmother. She was beautiful inside and out, with a quick sense of humor that could make anyone laugh and a warmth that made everyone feel loved.
She shared a beautiful life with her husband Myron, of 19 years, who loved her more deeply than words could ever express. Their love was steady and true, a bond built on devotion, friendship, and unwavering support. To see them together was to see what real love looks like.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 27, 2025 from 12:00 – 2:00 pm, immediately followed by a funeral service in celebration of Toni’s life at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) N. Syracuse, N.Y. 13212.
