Vasiliki "Vicky" (Christou) Pappas' Obituary
Vasiliki “Vicky” Pappas, 84, of Liverpool, passed away Monday, July 25, 2016 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Florina, Greece and came to the United States in her 20’s. Vicky was co-owner and operator of Pappas Bakery for over 32 years with her husband, Symeon. She loved spending time with her family and friends and enjoyed her yearly trips back to Greece.
She was predeceased by her parents, Dimitrios and Naoumka (Yantzis) Christou, and her husband Symeon Pappas in 2015.
Vicky is survived by her three children, Helen (Robert) Pappas-Bonilla of West Monroe, Christine (Z) Klapan of Liverpool and Dean (Helen) Pappas of Liverpool; four grandchildren, Crystal (Tyler) Swanson, Alexia Klapan, Sammy and Selena Pappas; one sister, Agape Malelis; four brothers, Nick (Daphne) Christou, Anastasios (Angeliki) Christou, Symeon (Elefteria) Christou, and Pavlos (Demetra) Christou, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Funeral Service in celebration of Vicky’s life will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, July 28, 2016 at St. Sophia’s Greek Orthodox Church. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM on Thursday, July 28, 2016 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
