Vincent M. Bugge's Obituary
Vincent M. Bugge, age 87, of Syracuse, passed away at home on Tuesday, January 3, 2017. Born in Reggio Calabria, Italy, son of Carmen and Natalie Bugge, he moved to Syracuse, NY when he was 18. Vince, as his friends and family called him, retired from Allied Chemical after 37 years. He was the owner and operator of Vincenzo’s Pizzeria in Constantia for 17 years. In his spare time he enjoyed playing golf, bowling and OTB.
Vince is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mary (Longo) Bugge, along with their four children; Carmen (Kellie) Bugge, Benjamin (Maryellen) Bugge, Anthony (Vicki) Bugge, and Teresa (Mark) Shattuck; 11 grandchildren, Jason (Jessica) Bugge, Jennifer (Todd) Wilber, Jessica (Kevin) Rojek, Vincent, Brandon, Antonio (Annie), AJ (Ondrea), and Zachary Bugge, Erannan, Teresa and Mark Shattuck; 6 great-grandchildren; Cody, Dylan, Christopher, Alyssa, Kian and Nathan; his sister, Carmella (Peter) Corasaniti and many other nieces, nephews and relatives.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Funeral Mass in celebration of Vince’s life at 11:00 AM in Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church. Entombment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Family and friends may call from 4:00 – 7:00 PM on Friday, January 6, 2017 at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
