Vincent J. Trichilo's Obituary
Vincent J. Trichilo, 89, of Liverpool, passed away June 30, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Syracuse, son of the late Joseph and Nicoletta (Crupi) Trichilo. Vince graduated from North High School and was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in the Korean Conflict. He worked at CNY Centro, Inc. for 31 years as a Safety Supervisor/Service Manger and was the NYS Fair/Centro Bus #1 coordinator for many years getting families to and from the fair. Vince also worked at the Pirro family funeral homes as a driver for over 30 years. He played Bass Guitar alongside his life-long friend, Joe Carfagno, and was a member of the American Federation of Musicians, Local 78. He also was a member of the (IAAC) Italian American Athletic Club. Vince loved going to any casino with his companion, Mary Ann Frio, with his specialty being bingo. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling and golfing for many years, but especially loved spending time with family.
In addition to his parents, he also was predeceased by his wife, Anna (Perrotti) Trichilo in 1994, his brother, Joseph Trichilo and sister, Rose Busko.
Vince is survived by his son, Vincent J. Trichilo, Jr. and daughter-in-law, Shawn Trichilo; his granddaughter, Anna Trichilo; his companion, Mary Ann Frio, along with several nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass in celebration of Vince’s life will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, July 7, 2023 in St. Margaret’s Church, Mattydale, followed by entombment with Military Honors in St. Mary’s Cemetery Mausoleum, Dewitt. Family and friends may call from 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Thursday, July 6, 2023 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
