Violet M. "Mickey" (Yale) Hudson's Obituary
Our mother, Violet M. "Mickey” (Yale) Hudson, 83, of Plainville, passed away on June 1, 2023, at Upstate University Hospital. Mickey was born to the late Frederick and Norma Yale on March 28, 1940. She was an avid Buffalo Bills fan and loved Notre Dame Athletics. More than anything she cherished time spent with family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her little angel, Toni Ann, her beloved husband of 53 years, Charley, who passed away tragically in a car accident in 2017, her sister, Myrna Nash, and her half-sister, Marilyn Trendell.
Mickey is survived by her daughters, Laura Hudson, Linda (Tim) Reed, and Maria (Corey) Johnson; 3 grandchildren, Alek Reed, Summer (Bobby) Bonnie, and Tyler Johnson; 4 great-grandchildren, Brooklynne and Dylan Reed, Sophia Bonnie and Harper Reed; sisters, Jackie (Joe) Trosky, and Andrea (Russell) Bush; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Calling hours will take place from 4:00 – 6:00 P.M. on Wednesday, June 7, 2023 followed by a funeral service in celebration of Mickey’s life at 6:00 P.M. at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.). She will be laid to rest beside her husband, Charley at 11:30 A.M. on Thursday, June 8, 2023 in Plainville Cemetery, Plainville, NY.
