Virginia (Zingaro) Cerio's Obituary
Virginia (Zingaro) Cerio, 94, of Syracuse, passed away Sunday at James Square Nursing Home. She was born in Syracuse, the daughter of the late Phillip and Mary (Cutrone) Zingaro. Virginia was a fun loving person and enjoyed card games with her friends. She also loved spending time with her family.
She was predeceased by her husband, Angelo Cerio in 1993; five brothers and two sisters. Virginia is survived by three children, Linda Vivenzio of Liverpool; Janice (Jack) Fasulo of Liverpool and Nicholas Cerio of Syracuse; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Marie Spadaro of Fayetteville and Roslyn (Joseph) Valentino of Baldwinsville, along with many nieces and nephews.
Virginia’s family would like to express a special “Thank You” to the 4th floor staff at James Square for their care and compassion.
A funeral service in celebration of Virginia’s life will be held on Friday at 11:00 am in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Family and friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME on Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm.
