Virginia A. "Ginny" (DeSisto) Menchella's Obituary
Virginia A. “Ginny” (DeSisto) Menchella, 82, of East Syracuse, passed away Saturday, May 30, 2015 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. She was born in Sayre, PA, the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Sanzo) DeSisto. Ginny was a teacher and retired as a secretary to Supreme Court Judge Norm Mordue. Ginny enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, John Menchella in 1997 and her son, Anthony J. Menchella in 2005.
Ginny is survived by her son, John M. (Sandy) Menchella of St. Louis, MO; her daughter, Anne E. Daggett of Fayetteville; five grandchildren, John, Elizabeth, Meghan, Melissa and Elyssa; her sister, Gloria Battaglia of Pleasantville, NY, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Funeral Mass in celebration of Ginny’s life will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at Immaculate Conception Church, Fayetteville. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum.
