Virginia M. (Dungan) Staiger's Obituary
Virginia M. “Ginnie” Staiger, 65, of Syracuse, peacefully received her angel wings on Saturday, February 25, 2017. She was born in Philadelphia, PA, daughter of Walter and Anna Mae Dungan. Ginnie was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan and loved celebrity gossip and watching movies. She loved unconditionally and would give you the shirt off her back.
Ginnie is survived by her loves of her life, her four children, John (Brad Rupert) Staiger of Philadelphia, PA, Keith (Tammy) Staiger of Liverpool, Kimberly (Michael LaValle) Staiger of Syracuse, and Jaime (Dan Gaglianese) Staiger of Syracuse; one granddaughter, Sarah Bray; one brother, Michael; four sisters, MaryAnn, Carol, Teresa and Ann, her last companion, Richard Ayers, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Ginnie’s family would like to thank the staff at PACE and The Bernardine for their outstanding care and friendship.
Calling hours will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 PM on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY. She will be laid to rest in Philadelphia at a later date.
