Virginia E. Wiggins' Obituary
Virginia E. Wiggins, 86, of Syracuse, passed away Monday, January 28, 2013 at James Square Nursing Home. She was born in Altmar, NY. Virginia retired from The Post Standard after 38 years of service. She was a communicant of Atonement Lutheran Church for many years. Virginia enjoyed traveling with her husband and very close friends, Susan and Richard. She was a wonderful and caring person who will be dearly missed.
She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Wiggins, her parents, Mr. & Mrs. Albert Pretory and two brothers. Virginia is survived by her best friend and caregiver of many years, Susan (Richard) McNish of Winter Garden, Florida and a nephew and great-nephew.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 1:00 pm in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memory Gardens, Dewitt. Family and friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME on Monday from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.
