Warren R. Jenkins' Obituary
Warren R. Jenkins, 79, of Liverpool, passed away on Monday, November 5, 2018 with his loving wife by his side. He was born on January 9, 1939 in Scranton, PA, son of the late Hopkin and Emily (Searle) Jenkins. Warren graduated from Syracuse University and was the owner of Martisco Corporation and respected by his fellow businessmen.
He loved sports and was an avid Syracuse fan and season ticket holder in both football and basketball; he enjoyed tailgating with his wife and friends and enjoyed trips to bowl games. Warren and his wife looked forward to and loved their winter vacations to Punta Cana, Aruba, St. Martin and other various islands in the Caribbean. He also loved his corvette and spent many hours keeping it spotless.
Warren had a very empathetic heart and made generous contributions to various organizations including Golisano Children’s Hospital, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Food Bank, United Way, Cancer organizations and SPCA’s to name a few.
Warren is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Vera (Markopolsky) Jenkins; his mother-in-law, Zina Donetz; brother-in-law, Nicolaus Markopolsky (Kimberly); his niece, Mykala Markopolsky; sister-in-law, Anna Markopolsky and his little four-legged friend, Ella whom he referred to as “EllieMay” and who will miss her belly rubs and walks to the mailbox to pick up the mail with him.
Family and friends may call from 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Friday, November 9, 2018 at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY. A Funeral Service in celebration of Warren’s life will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME with burial to follow at Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners Rd., Camillus, NY.
