William F. "Bill" Betts' Obituary
William F. “Bill” Betts, 76, of Liverpool, passed away Monday, July 24, 2017 at Upstate Community Hospital surrounded by his family. He was born in Columbus, OH, son of the late Harry and Alice (Enright) Betts. Bill was a proud Vietnam veteran and served with the U.S. Navy for 11 dedicated years, aboard the USS Rochester, USS Mahan, and USS Bennington. He retired from Catholic Charities of Onondaga County in 2014, after 30 years of serving as the Director of Property Management. Bill was a retired member of Moyers Corners Fire Department.
Bill loved fishing, and playing cards and bingo, but loved nothing more than spending time with his favorite girls and getting “kissies” from his beloved dogs, Sherman and Sheldon.
He was predeceased by two sisters, Patricia Bryan and Jaqueline Kowalski.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Michele (Fitzgerald) Betts; two daughters, Brianne Betts (Steven Widzowski) of Columbus, OH and Sabrina Betts of Liverpool; many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be private.
