William H. "Bill" Bowen's Obituary
William H. “Bill” Bowen, 81, of Liverpool, passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2017 at Upstate University Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Syracuse, NY and graduated from St. Anthony School. Bill served in the U.S. Navy for two years, and was a member of the American Legion Post #1468. He retired from Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation in 1994.
He was predeceased by his parents, William H. and Winifred Bowen; brothers, Jim and Bob Bowen, and his sister, Frances Bowen.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Carmel (Misiano) Bowen; one sister, Mary Arnold of Arizona; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 9:00 am on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Funeral Mass in celebration of Bill’s life at 10:00 am in Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter’s Church. Entombment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Family and friends may call from 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
