William V. "Bill" Corcoran's Obituary
William V. “Bill” Corcoran, 82, of Liverpool, passed away at Loretto on Thursday, November 8, 2018. He was born in Syracuse, son of the late Thomas J. and Virginia (Weis) Corcoran. Bill was the co-owner and operator of the family business, Peerless Press in Syracuse for over 42 years. He was an avid Syracuse sports fan and NY Yankees fan. He had a love of classic cars. Bill enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially his beloved grandchildren.
He was predeceased by several brothers and sisters.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Patricia A. (Cerone) Corcoran; two sons, David (Steve) Corcoran and Doug (Sandy) Corcoran; five daughters, Donna (Ray) Carroll, Barbara (Cliff) McGlory, Kathy Stevenson, Kelly Corcoran and Pamela (Samuel) Zaidspiner; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 8:30 am on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Funeral Mass in celebration of Bill’s life at 9:30 am in St. Joseph the Worker Church, Liverpool. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, DeWitt. Family and friends may call from 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Monday, November 12, 2018 at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
