William G. Fenton, Jr.'s Obituary
William G. Fenton, Jr., age 72, formerly of Syracuse, NY, passed away peacefully on November 2, 2024, in Clovis, CA. Bom on November 9, 1951, he was the son of the late William Fenton, Sr. and June Fenton of Syracuse.
Bill is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Fenton, and his son, William G. Fenton IV. He is also survived by his brother, Michael Fenton (Catherine), his sisters, MaryBeth Fenton and Theresa Gridley, as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
He was predeceased by his parents, his sister, Patty Anne, and his brothers, Gary and Mark Fenton.
Bill graduated from Liverpool High School and went on to earn a degree in Forest Management from Paul Smith's College. He later moved to California, where he became a licensed professional surveyor. He enjoyed a long and fulfilling career with the California Department of Transportation, from which he retired after many years of dedicated service.
Known for his warmth, generosity, and sense of humor, Bill was always ready to lend a helping hand. Whether volunteering with Brittany Rescues, mentoring Boy Scouts, supporting Honor Flight veterans, or simply being there for his friends and neighbors, Bill's kindness and willingness to help others left a lasting impact. He had a remarkable ability to brighten any room with his presence, and his light will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A memorial Mass will be held in Bill's honor on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at 10:00 AM in St. Rose of Lima Church, North Syracuse, NY.
