William L. Lee's Obituary
William L. Lee, 64, of Hastings, NY, peacefully passed away at home on Saturday, June 1, 2024, surrounded by his loving wife and their 3 brave and caring children. Bill was born in Syracuse, the son of John and Dorothy (Kotz) Lee. He worked for many years in the communications field, retiring from AT&T after many years of dedicated service. Bill was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Cicero. He was a former usher and lector at Blessed Sacrament Church. He also participated in the church's Just Memories musical productions. It was at Blessed Sacrament Church, that he met and married his wife, Jill.
Bill was a life member of Hastings Volunteer Fire Department. He was a former proud member of Syracuse Fire Department Explorer Post 280, EAVES Ambulance, and Clay Volunteer Fire Department.
He is predeceased by his parents, John and Dorothy Lee; sister, Barbara Kopf; brother, John R. Lee and brother-in-law, John Kopf.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Jill (Woyciesjes) Lee; sons, Patrick (Lynette), Nicholas, and daughter, Mary Kathleen, along with several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass in celebration of Bill’s life will be held at 9:00 am on Thursday, June 6, 2024 at Blessed Sacrament Church, 3127 James St., Syracuse, NY, followed by burial in Assumption Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
