William Miles Spencer's Obituary
William Miles Spencer, 87, of Syracuse, passed away at Loretto Nursing Home on Sunday, December 28, 2014. He was born in Syracuse, the son of the late Genevieve (Osborne) and Miles Spencer. In his younger years, William was involved in several athletic activities. He served in the National Guard and had been employed by Bristol Myers Squibb in their Research and Development Department for 35 years.
He was predeceased by three brothers, Richard, Herbert and Donald Spencer.
William is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Ursaline (Endieveri) Spencer; two daughters, Elizabeth (Quentin) Lockwood of North Syracuse and Mary Ellen (Ronald) Watz of Winter Haven, Florida; three grandchildren, Amy, Michael and Daniel Discenza, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at the
THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Funeral Mass in celebration of William’s Life at 12:10 pm in St. Daniel’s Church. Entombment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Family and friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 am on Wednesday at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Road (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
