William C. "Bill" Strack's Obituary
William C. “Bill” Strack, 84, passed away on December 16, 2020 at Iroquois Nursing Home. He was born in Syracuse, son of the late William and Lucy (Wenzel) Strack. Bill was a U.S. Air Force veteran and worked several dedicated years as a bus operator for Centro. Upon retiring, he worked countless hours and volunteered his time for the rescue mission, helping the homeless. Bill was an avid Syracuse sports and NY Yankees fan. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially his beloved grandchildren and watching them play their sports.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Mary F. (Riley) Strack; sons, Tim (Sandy) Strack and Andrew (Lauren) Strack; daughters, Cathy (Ricky) Dutton and Cindy Strack; stepdaughters, Elizabeth (Mike) Kasch, Sr., Mary Beth Ritschel and Teresa (Doni) Blanchard; a stepson, Tim Ritschel; 12 grandchildren, Cari and Cayla Dutton, Cole and Gavin Strack, Michael Jr., Matthew and Nicolette Kasch, Tyler and Zachary Salmon, Jessica (Danny) DeLutis, Colin (Hannah) McElligott and Noah Blanchard.
A Funeral Mass in celebration of William’s life will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at St. Mary’s Church, Baldwinsville. Private entombment and Military Honors will be in Our Lady of Peace Mausoleum, Baldwinsville. Family and friends may call from 4:00 – 6:00 pm on Monday, December 21, 2020 at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
