William C. “Bill” Tassone, 77, departed this world on July 30, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love and accomplishment.
Born on June 11, 1946, to Dominic and Sally Tassone, Bill's life was marked by passion, dedication, and a genuine love for his family and friends.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Judy, and leaves behind cherished memories for his daughters Lori (Rich), Kristy, Michelle (Missy), Jennifer (Darrin), and Billie (Lawrence). Additionally, he leaves behind the loving stepsons, Ben (Melissa) Brazell and Chris (Karyn) Brazell, as well as numerous adoring grandchildren; his 2 brothers, Samuel, Jerry (Rosie); his sister, Linda, along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Growing up in Liverpool as a part of a large family, Bill's early years were shaped by the loving bonds of his family. His adventurous spirit led him to race his prized car, "The Godfather," in numerous events across the country, showcasing his determination and skill on the track.
Throughout his life, Bill found success as an entrepreneur, owning and operating two well-known and thriving bakeries on Route 57 and Taft Road. He later ventured into the title business, where he dedicated many years of hard work.
However, Bill's true calling in life lay in the political arena, where his strategic mind and charisma propelled him to run many victorious campaigns. His political acumen and widespread recognition earned him respect and admiration throughout the state. Bill served as a NYS Republican Convention Delegate and contributed his expertise to the Judicial Selection Commission, along with various other civic engagements. Over the years, Bill cultivated countless friendships through his political endeavors, culminating in him being awarded the prestigious Republican of the Year Award, a testament to his impact on the political landscape.
Amidst his busy professional life, Bill always made time for his beloved family and friends. He enjoyed summers spent with Judy on Wellsley Island, creating cherished memories. Bill had a gift for bringing people together and enjoyed entertaining friends and family at camp, where joy, laughter and camaraderie filled the air.
While we mourn the loss of a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, we take comfort in the lasting memories he leaves behind. Bill was predeceased by his parents, brother Dominic, sister Annie, and stepson Eric Brazell, and now joins them in eternal rest.
Bill's memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. May we find comfort in the knowledge that he has left a lasting impact on the lives he touched and that his legacy will continue to inspire us for generations to come.
