William Vincent "Bill" Trumble

William Vincent “Bill” Trumble, 81, of Liverpool, passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospital on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Bill was born in Potsdam, NY to the late Roy and Pauline (Vincent) Trumble and graduated from St. Mary’s Academy in Ogdensburg where he was also a member of the baseball team. Bill was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force; he was stationed in Scotland and Pakistan and served as a Non-Morse Code Intercept Operator achieving the rank of Staff Sargeant. He then went back to school as an adult, earning his associate’s degree in computer science from OCC. Bill was a computer data analyst and manager for Marine Midland/ HSBC Bank, where he met his wife, Terrianne, and later retired from Fiserv. Bill was a communicant and long-time volunteer of St. Joseph the Worker Church (now Epiphany Parish) and a life member of the Knights of Columbus, serving as a Grand Knight. He was also a life member of the Liverpool Elks Lodge, serving in many different leadership roles, including Exalted Ruler. Bill loved to play golf, he played nearly every day during retirement, and in his younger years he bowled three times a week in various leagues. Bill also loved solving crossword puzzles, traveling, camping, and of course, watching Yankees baseball. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his infant daughter, Judith Anne, his siblings, Michael Trumble and Susan Fishel, sister-in-law, Victoria Trumble, brother-in-law, James Lesperance, and his beloved dog, Buddy. Bill is survived by his loving wife, Terrianne (Borello) Trumble; his children, Kathleen (Brian) Hanson and Roy (Amy) Trumble; his grandchildren, Eliza and Gavin Hanson and Micah and Hope Trumble; his siblings, Patricia Lesperance and Trudy (Pierre) Gagnon; his brother-in-law, David Fishel; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. The family would like to extend a special thanks to “Bill’s Girls”, everyone who took such great care of him at St. Camillus, and the amazing Emergency Room staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Visitation will be held from 9:45 – 10:45 A.M. on Saturday, January 4, 2025 in Epiphany Parish, (formerly St. Joseph the Worker Church) 1001 Tulip St. Liverpool, followed by a funeral mass at 11:00 A.M. in the church. He will be laid to rest in the Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery at a later date.
