William G. Vanderpool's Obituary
William G. (Bill) Vanderpool, 64, of Clay, NY entered into rest on November 11, 2010 at St. Joseph's Hospital after a 30 year courageous battle with heart disease. Born October 10, 1946 in Omaha, Nebraska, son of the late Elmer and Eileen (King) Vanderpool. Bill proudly served our country in the US Air Force and US Navy from 1963 to 1969. He enjoyed playing cards with his friends, walking with the "walking group" at the Great Northern Mall and going to the North Area Family YMCA. Son-in-law of the late Michael and Florence (Brignole) Laverne. He was predeceased by his siblings, Daniel, Gene, Eileen, Mary Lou and Patricia. Bill is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Loretta "Laurie" (Laverne) Vanderpool. Father of Eileen Marie (Mark) Hibbard of Canastota, NY and Tracy Lynn (Jon) Williams of Lockport, NY. Grandfather of Michael Hibbard, (Emily Fratini), David and Alicia Hibbard of Canastota, NY, Brendan, Rachel and Evan Williams of Lockport, NY. Brother of Charles (Joyce) Vanderpool of California and Dale (Julie) Vanderpool of Nebraska; also survived by many in-laws, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday at 10:00 AM in the Thomas J. Pirro Funeral Home and 11:00 AM in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will be in Pine Plains Cemetery, Clay. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4 to 7 PM.
