William Chase "Buddy" Watkins' Obituary
William Chase “Buddy” Watkins, 41, of Liverpool, passed away unexpectedly of a heart attack on May 22, 2019. Everyone knew Buddy had a big heart. Sadly, he had an undetected heart disease. A Syracuse native, lifelong resident and businessman, he co-owned Elite Professional Painting with his wife.
He is survived by his wife, McLean “Mikki” (Walsh) Watkins; his three children, Loren, Benjamin and Marin Watkins and their mother, Erika Vincent; his four step-children, Joseph Drake, Kristina (Will) Rainbow, Tommy Beane and Talia Beane; four step-grandchildren, Killian, Jaxen, Jace and Jamisen; his parents, William and Marlene (Bergin) Watkins, his four brothers, Jeffrey (Danielle) Watkins, Andrew (Courtney) Watkins, Paul (Lauren) Watkins and Marshall Watkins; his maternal grandmother, Jeannette Bergin, along with his aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Will was a passionate and dedicated father, loving husband, son, brother and friend. He was an athlete in youth and a coach as an adult. He will be missed by many and recalled with laughter and fond memories.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Funeral Mass in celebration of Will’s life at 11:00 am at St. Margaret’s Catholic Church.
Calling hours for family and friends will be held from 2:00 – 5:00 pm on Monday, May 27, 2019 at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Will’s name may be made to the family for his children’s 529 College Savings Plan.
