Wilma A. (Perillo) Lanni's Obituary
Wilma A. (Perillo) Lanni, 87, of Syracuse, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 30, 2018. She passed away peacefully with her daughters by her side. Wilma was born in Syracuse, daughter of the late Nicholas and Carmella (Aliberti) Perillo. Wilma worked hard her whole life and was devoted to her family. Her hobbies included crocheting and knitting. She was a longtime parishioner of Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church.
She was predeceased by her brother, Tony Perillo.
Wilma is survived by her daughters, Loreen Benkoski of Clay, Lisa (Jason) VanAlstyne of Syracuse and Linda Sardella (Andy Rayno) of Maryland; her beloved grandchildren, David Brazell, Megan Brazell, Kimberly (Collin)Cottingham, Jessica Sardella (Ryan Pearl), Mara and Rachael Sardella; her great-grandson, Benjamin Cottingham; her niece, LuAnn Fazio and nephew, Nicholas Perillo.
Her family wishes to express special thanks to Wilma’s caregivers.
A Funeral Mass in celebration of Wilma’s life will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church, 301 Ash St., Syracuse, NY. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Family and friends may call from 5:00 – 7:00 pm on Friday, January 4, 2019 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
