Yolanda (Zuccarini) Matarazzo's Obituary
Yolanda (Zuccarini) Matarazzo, 95, of Syracuse, passed away March 17, 2024 at Crouse Hospital. She was born in Watertown, NY, daughter of the late Romeo and Anna Zuccarini. Yolanda was dedicated to the children at Park and Court Streets when she was a Crossing Guard. She retired as a Court Attendant in 1995. Yolanda loved tending to her garden, and enjoyed cooking, ceramics, and oil and watercolor painting.
She is predeceased by her husband, Anthony Matarazzo, Jr., her son, Anthony Matarazzo III, and sisters, Nettie Piraino and Livia DePietro.
Yolanda is survived by her daughter, Anne Williams, her grandson, Staff Sgt. Damian Williams of Washington D.C., her granddaughter, Kelly Williams of California, five great-grandchildren, along with several nieces, nephews, and great nephew.
A Funeral Mass in celebration of Yolanda’s life will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at 10:00 am in St. John the Baptist/Holy Trinity Church, 406 Court St., Syracuse, NY, with entombment to follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery Mausoleum, DeWitt. Family and friends may call from 4:00 – 6:00 pm on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
