Yolanda (Calabria) Rosati's Obituary
Yolanda (Calabria) Rosati, 86, of Liverpool, passed away on Tuesday surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Syracuse, the daughter of the late Fredrick and Anna (Nestico) Calabria. Yolanda was employed by Easy Washer Company for seven years, Deluxe Check Printers for twenty years and then happily retired to enjoy traveling and spending time with family and friends. She was a member of the Knights of Columbus Columbiettes as well as the Senior Citizens of Our Lady of Pompei, St. Rose of Lima and Town of Salina. Yolanda met the love of her life, Louis Rosati, whom she married on August 4, 1951, at Our Lady of Pompei Church. Together they raised five children; Margaret (Steven) Zogg of North Syracuse, Louis (Pam) Rosati of Camillus, Diane (Dan) Graham of Baldwinsville, Janet (John) Phillips of Baldwinsville, and Gina Rosati of Liverpool. Yolanda was a beautiful wife, a very loving mother, a patient grandmother to her eleven grandchildren and a caring great-grandmother to her five great-grandchildren. She had a caring heart, great sense of humor, and was an incredible example of sustained Faith and Grace.
Yolanda is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Louis Rosati; her children; grandchildren; step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her sister, Barbara Cavallaro as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 9:00 am in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME and 10:00 am in Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church, where a funeral mass will be celebrated. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Family and friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse on Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. The Holy Name Society of Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church will recite their ritual at 3:30 pm Friday at the funeral home.
