Yvette L. "Memere" (Desruisseaux) Nappa's Obituary
Yvette L. “Memere” (Desruisseaux) Nappa, 93, passed away surrounded by her loving family on March 3, 2024. She was born in Manchester, New Hampshire, to the late Albert and Lillian (Dupont) Desruisseaux. Yvette was a dedicated worker for over 20 years as a dining supervisor at the Developmental Center in Syracuse. She was an avid Yankees fan and enjoyed playing card games, and solving puzzles, and crosswords, but most importantly, she cherished spending time with her family.
Besides her parents, Yvette was predeceased by her loving husband, Carmen Nappa in 1987, her son in law, Michael Squires, Sr., and her sisters, Anita Lavallee and Doris Fournier.
Yvette is survived by children, Mark (Cindy) Nappa, Bruce Nappa, and Patti (Don) Franklin; grandchildren, Kristy (Kevin), Tracy (Rob), Amy, Michael Jr. (Ashley), Carmen, Hayleeann, and Tyler; great-grandchildren, Brady, Logan, Emma, Nicholas, Grace, Joseph, Giavanna, Isabella, Harper, Cooper, and Conner; along with her nephew, Kirk Fournier, whom she shared a special bond with.
The family would like to express their immense gratitude to the staff at the Iroquois Nursing Home for their kind and compassionate care.
In keeping with Yvette’s wishes, there will be no services at this time. Donations in her honor may be made out to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation CNY Chapter, 200 Gateway Park Dr. Building C, Syracuse, NY 13212.
