Zoran Dudevski's Obituary
Zoran Dudevski, 66, of Camillus, N.Y., passed away peacefully on August 25, 2016 at University Hospital, surrounded by his family. Born in Kumanovo, Macedonia on March 3, 1950, he immigrated to Syracuse, N.Y. with his father and mother, Alex and Milica (Yankulovich) Dudevski, and his sister and brother, Susan and Sam. In Syracuse, they were reunited with the extended Yankulovich family. Mr. Dudevski graduated from Henninger High School in Syracuse, N.Y. He then attended Clarkson University in Potsdam, N.Y., where he earned a degree in Electrical Engineering and Physics. After graduation, he began his career at U.S. Steel in Pittsburgh, Pa., and then moved to Allied Chemical, Crucible Steel and Byrne Dairy, all in Syracuse, serving in various managerial and director roles. In June 1993, he married Gordana Stefanovski in Veles, Macedonia, where she was born and raised; a subsequent wedding ceremony also was held in Syracuse in January 1994.
Mr. Dudevski was a lifelong member of St. George Macedonian Eastern Orthodox Church. He was a devoted husband, father and son, who never lost his sense of curiosity and love for learning. He was an avid reader, coin collector, and had a love for life and people; his greatest treasures were his wife and children.
Mr. Dudevski is survived by his wife and his two children: Alexandra Dudevski of Camillus, N.Y., and Samuel Dudevski of Camillus, N.Y.; his mother, Milica (Yankulovich) Dudevski of Camillus, N.Y., his sister, Susan Dudevski of Camillus, N.Y., his niece, Jennifer (Fred) Bonnell of Wayne, N.J., his niece, Jacquelyn (Michael) Scott, and his great-niece, Sydney Bonnell of Wayne, N.J., his great-nephew, Benjamin Brock Bonnell of Wayne, N.J., and (predeceased), his father, his brother and great-nephew Wyatt Bonnell.
Calling hours will be held from 4 - 8 p.m., with a Trisagion Prayer Service at 7 p.m., Monday, August 29, 2016 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Road), N. Syracuse, N.Y. Funeral services will begin at the funeral home at 9 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2016 and at 10 a.m. at St. George Macedonian Eastern Orthodox Church, 5083 Onondaga Rd., Syracuse, N.Y., followed by burial services at Woodlawn Cemetery in Syracuse.
A luncheon will be held at St. George Macedonian Eastern Orthodox Church immediately after the burial service.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. George Macedonian Eastern Orthodox Church or to the Upstate Cancer Center in Syracuse.
