Grandpa,
My heart will always hurt for you.
You are my hero. You have always been my hero. You fought so hard.... until your last breath.
You lived your life so selflessly. Always putting the needs of others before your own, and you did it with a smile on your face.
Grandma hit the lotto the day she met you.... I was always in awe of how she could go shopping all day, spend hundreds of dollars & never get in trouble for it. She would try on outfit after outfit and you play the audience & let her know how she looked in each piece. Your love for her was unwavering.
Our adventures we took (running errands for grandma) and the time we spent together will forever be in my heart. I will tell my youngest 2 kids what an amazing man you were & how much you loved us all. You were so honored that Leighton’s middle name was after your name. My only wish is that he would have been old enough to understand the man you were.
I hope you every single thing in life you always wanted. Dogs, yard work, donuts & coffee, all the sweets you can eat, Arizona weather, a nice car, all the happiness in the world. Most of all, I hope you have peace. Your days of suffering are over & for that I am eternally grateful.
You have touched all of our lives and life will never be the same without you.
I love you forever and always....
