Alan M. Fox, Sr.'s Obituary
Alan M. Fox, Sr., 91, of North Syracuse, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, February 10, 2019. He was born in Syracuse, NY, son of the late Louis I. and Mary (Anderson) Fox. Al was a Gunner in the U.S. Air Force. He worked at General Electric for over 37 years, retiring as a Draftsman. His daily visits to Tops Supermarket made him the “Mayor” of the store. Al was a devoted family man, always putting others before himself. Everyone who met Al, loved him, he will be truly missed.
Al is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Sarah G. (LaManna) Fox; his daughter, Michele (Rick) Garlic; his son, Alan M. Fox, Jr.; two grandchildren, Wendy (Kenny) Holland and Ricky (Lisa) Garlic; three great-grandchildren, Morgan, Isabella and Leighton Alan.
Funeral services will be held at 8:00 am on Thursday, February 14, 2019 at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Funeral Mass in celebration of Alan’s life at 9:00 am at St. Daniel’s Church. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Family and friends may call from 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
