Alfred Butler, 95, of Syracuse, passed away Monday at the VA Medical Center. He was born in Lyons, NY, the son of the late Frank and Josephine (DiBiaso) Butler. Al was a U.S. Army WWII Veteran serving with the 299th Battalion. He Read Obituary

As a young fellow,my Father Mario Speziali would bring me to the store and Al was always a kind person to us.I will always remember my mother Evelyn telling me the story that Butler's Market was where my Mom an Dad met!Rest In Peace Al.
So sorry to read about our old family friend Al. From when i was a kid going to the market on Lodi St. Al & Bill let us all play with the boxes and make forts and just have a ball there. my Mom was also a bowler and her an Al were great friends because of their Love for bowling. Rest in Peace Big Al and may God Bless You and your Family too.
Al is a GREAT man. He will be missed. I loved the Peterson tournament.

So sorry to hear about Al's passing. I had the pleasure of working @ Butler's Mkt in the 70's. Al always put a smile on my face. I loved working Sundays with him and Rosie, it was a long day, but we made it through, they always took us to Pizza Hut after the long shift..great memories!
I will miss you Al loved your stories of the old day's RIP my friend.
