Alfrieda P. (Leonardi) Coglitore's Obituary
Alfrieda Palma Coglitore (Leonardi), 88, of Liverpool, passed away December 21, 2021, at the The Cottages at Garden Grove in Cicero. She was born in Syracuse, daughter of the late Frank Leonardi and Pauline (Manino) Leonardi. She was also predeceased by her husband, Santo J.Coglitore in 1980 and her brother, Anthony Leonardi.
Alfrieda is survived by her children: Frank Coglitore (Donna), Santo “Skip” Coglitore (Kathy), Paul Coglitore (Carla), Alfred “Fred” Coglitore, and her brother, Frank Leonardi (Linda); 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews.
Frieda was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She adored children and took great joy in being around the smallest members of her family. She graduated from North High School in 1951; married and both her and her husband Santo opened Community Bakery. The business has stayed in the family for the past 70 years and is currently owned and operated by her son Fred. Freida loved cooking for her family and enjoyed decorating her home for every holiday. She was a member of North Central Church where she practiced her faith.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, December 27, 2021, from 1:00 – 3:00 pm, immediately followed by a funeral service in celebration of Frieda’s life at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY. To attend the service remotely, please visit Alfrieda’s tribute page at tjpfuneralhome.com at 3pm on Monday. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum.
