Andrew T. "Andy" Cowan's Obituary
Andrew T. Cowan “Andy”, 34, of North Syracuse, passed away Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at home with his family by his side. He fought a courageous ten-month battle against melanoma.
Andy was a graduate of CNS High School and received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Albany College of Pharmacy. He was a pharmacy manager at the CVS in Target, Clay. Andy took great pride in his job. He especially enjoyed the contact he had with his regular patients and the bond he had
with his co-workers.
Andy bowled in a league at Bowling Green and loved to golf during the summer on his days off. His knowledge of animals was immense, and he loved visiting the zoo. Andy enjoyed spending time with his close group of friends. He loved being surrounded by his beloved pets Chico and
Cinnamon.
Andy is survived by his wife of two years, Keisha M. (Burns) Cowan; his parents, Robin and Thomas Cowan; one brother, Robert Cowan; his in-laws, Karen and James Burns; sister-in-law, Lacey (Errick) Chiasson, and nephew, Bennett.
The family would like to thank the nurses and doctors at St. Joseph’s Hospital for the compassionate care they provided.
Family and friends may call on Sunday, February 10, 2019 from 12 – 2:30 pm, followed by a Funeral Service in celebration of Andy’s life at 2:30 pm at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
