Uncle Ang was one of the kindest people I've ever known. As a child growing up in my grandmother's house, I would always looked forward to his visits. He had a way of making you laugh and telling stories that would keep your attention. He was a magnet for children. When he came to Florida to visit my mom shortly before she passed away, my own children were sitting on his lap and calling him "Papo" within an hour of meeting him. I had an occasion to visit him with my brother Vince a few years ago and even though his eyesight was failing, his mind was still sharp enough to ask how my wife and children were doing by name.
I know that his immediate family will miss him and aunt Carm terribly, but I also know that they will have a infinite number of positive memories to call upon. He was obviously an examnplary role model for his children and grandchildren that have all become exemplary adults as well.
You lived a long and fruitful life Uncle Ang and I know that I will not forget the times that I spent on Wadsworth Street. Say hello to Aunt Carm for me.
