Ann G. (DeFeo) Galtieri's Obituary
Ann G. (DeFeo) Galtieri, 81, of Camillus, passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at Upstate University Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Syracuse, daughter of the late Annello and Louise (Tardabone) DeFeo. Ann was formerly employed in the Medical Records Department at St. Joseph’s Hospital and also worked at Harmony House of Interiors. Most importantly, she was a homemaker most of her life and a devoted Wife, Mother and Grandmother.
She was predeceased by her son, Mark Galtieri in 1979; her brothers, Michael and Tony DeFeo, and her sister, Josephine Ploski.
Ann is survived by her husband of 56 years, Louis Galtieri; her daughter, Karen (Christopher) Mauro of Camillus; two grandchildren, Steven (Val) and Marissa; two great-grandchildren, Alisha and Maria Bella; her brother, Joseph (Betty) DeFeo, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family would like to thank Dr. Gajra and his team at Upstate Hospital, as well as the nurses on 6I ICU for their compassionate care of Ann.
A Funeral Service in celebration of Ann’s Life will be held at 9:45 AM on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in St. Joseph’s Church, Camillus, NY. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM on Monday, September 26, 2016 at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
