I learned of Ann's passing several days later, so please forgive this late post. I worked with Bob at Carrier Transicold in the early 1970's, and discovered that he and Ann were neighbors when we moved to our first home on Oneida Lake. They would generously give me a lift into work on days when my wife needed our one car. My wife also worked in Ann's office on a few occasions. Later, we would run into them (frequently) in various restaurants around Cicero; we would usually share a table, make stalking jokes, and catch up.
One day several years later, we saw Ann sitting on a lawn chair alone in her driveway. We stopped to talk, and found that the intervening years had robbed Ann of both her sight and her beloved husband. More recently, we got reacquainted when we found her at Brookdale West shortly after moving my wife's father there. I meant to ask after her while we were packing up his room on May 31, but it was early in the morning and I didn't want to bother her -- not realizing that we had missed her permanently. We will miss her pithy comments and her delight in seeing us.
Rest easy, Ann.
