Anthony "Nino" Prince's Obituary
Anthony “Nino” Prince, 74, of Liverpool, passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospital with his loving wife, Linda, at his side. Nino was born September 17, 1940 in Syracuse on the North Side. Nino retired as Captain from the Syracuse Fire Department after serving 25 years and was a member of the Retired Syracuse Firefighters Association. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and a member of The Boys from Syracuse Air National Guard 138th Tactical Fighter Squadron. Nino was also a member of V.F.W. Post 3146, Mattydale, NY and V.F.W. Post 10420, Murrells Inlet. He enjoyed golf, country western dancing and spending time with his family.
Nino is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Linda (Franz) Prince; his three children, daughter, Christina (Peter) Greco of Liverpool; son, Anthony Prince, Jr. of Cicero and daughter, Lisa Prince of Brewerton; grandchildren, Peter (Molly) Greco, Alicia and Vincent Greco, Brian, Travis and Tyler Prince; two new great-grand babies, Emmalyn Prince and Nicolas Prince; two sisters, Annmarie McKenty and Frances Delia; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral service in celebration of Nino’s life will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME. Entombment will follow at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery Mausoleum, Baldwinsville. Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Friday, May 15, 2015 at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
