To the Savino Family... Something was up, I was remembering Dan and Toni from years ago, and telling my sister, I need to look them up. Dan was my god-father through baptismn...Then loking at the obits, here is your beautiful wife, mother.. I just seen this, otherwise, I would of been there.. The Savino family has always been so important to the Muenches. Dan you were a model for my teaching and coaching. Toni was always a joy to every situation. It breaks my heart that I will not be able to be with you all through this difficult time. Mary Lee and I feel so badly because you are all so important to us. I met Dan and Toni back in 2007 when I was first embarking on my teaching career. They had a beautiful apartment for me to rent. I have so many cherished memories while living there. They took such great care of that property. I have never seen a lawn groomed that well! I instantly clicked with Dan and Toni. They reminded me a lot of my own grandparents. We would talk about teaching, traveling and family. Toni had such charm and always a smile to share. I loved hearing about their travels to Hawaii and Italy. I always admired their unwavering love for each other. Dan my heart goes out to you. Cheryl you are to be admired for the love and care you gave your mother through these difficult times. I’ll always remember the wonderful times we had with Cousin Toni. She was always so observant and interested in what was going on in your life. You could just feel the warmth and love pour out whenever you saw her. In particular, the many Christmas Eves spent together will never be forgotten. I’ll be thinking of her this Friday.
