Benjamin S. "Benny" Angona's Obituary
Benjamin S. “Benny” Angona, 65, passed away on December 25th, 2020 at Crown Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Cortland NY. Benny was born in Syracuse, son of the late Donald and Dorothy (Braun) Angona. He was devoted to his career with the Syracuse Fire Department, where he spent 27 years of service and was awarded the Medal of Valor in 1989. He spent his final years surrounded by those closest to his heart, and in the care and compassion of the staff at Crown Park Center's 3 South. After many years of strength and perseverance-- he is now at peace, healed, and happy among so many who loved him throughout his life.
Besides his parents, Benny was also predeceased by six siblings.
He is survived by his loving wife, Susan (Cimilluca) Angona; four daughters, Lorraine (Ethan) Hart, Allison, Natalie (Thomas) Maloney, and Nicola; his sister, Donna Carnrite; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
