Beverly Jane Martino, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 18, 2013 due to complications from surgery. She was born in Syracuse on May 10, 1926 and was a graduate of St. Anthony de Padua grammar school, Central High School and Read Obituary

I am deeply saddened to hear of your Mom's passing. Even though it has been 30 years, the impact she had on me will be with me forever. Her intelligence, humor, strength and grace, as much as my Mom, taught me what a true self-assured lady was. She definitely had my admiration. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. Having lost my Mom in 2011 I know how heavy a burden grief can be.

Dear Mark, Jody, Alexander and Melina, Yesterday was such a beautiful tribute to Beverly! She was well-deserving of such an honor. She looked so like herself that it was difficult to look at her -- and yet, I couldn't take my eyes off her. It seemed as though she would just sit up and join the party. The one characteristic that continually comes to mind is simply that she was truly a lady in every sense of the word. And so true another comment: "She never had a bad word to say about anyone". My family and I are so sad at her passing -- it was too soon and needn't have happened. We've all commented that we just can't imagine a world without Beverly Martino in it. We know how devastated all of you are and want you to know that we will have you in our prayers during the weeks ahead as you cope with this terrible loss. We will all miss her every day, just as you will. Our deepest sympathy is with you.

I enjoyed working with Mrs. Martino for the past 13 years. She kept me on my toes and always made sure that our records matched. We communicated mostly over the phone or via e-mail. I will always remember her fondly, and only wish that I had been able to meet her in person.
