Beverly J. Martino's Obituary
Beverly Jane Martino, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 18, 2013 due to complications from surgery. She was born in Syracuse on May 10, 1926 and was a graduate of St. Anthony de Padua grammar school, Central High School and the Syracuse University School of Business Administration. Beverly enjoyed spending time on the St. Lawrence River where she was a long time summer resident. She was an avid Syracuse University sports fan and especially enjoyed cheering on the SU Football team in the Carrier Dome.
After family and friends, the biggest part of her life was Modern Kitchens of Syracuse, the company she co-founded with her husband Raymond in 1955, and worked at daily until the day before her surgery. Beverly cherished the countless customers and business associates she met over the years, many who became lifelong friends. She thought of the staff at MKS as family. Beverly's big heart, humor and ability to communicate with others made her dearly loved by everyone she encountered. She will be deeply missed.
She was predeceased by her parents, Arthur and Philomena "Fanny" Datlo and by her beloved husband, Raymond F. Martino, Jr. in 1992. Beverly is survived by her son, Mark, daughter-in-law, Jody; her grandchildren, Alexander and Melina; brother-in-law, Louis Martino of Florida along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
