Paul and Family, we are so very sorry for your loss. Carmella was such a wonderful woman. We have been so blessed to have neighbors as wonderful and caring as you. You helped us in our time of need....When John was hospitalized, you helped comfort Elizabeth. Elizabeth often talks about her time with Mrs. Mayer and how she took care of her, comforted her, and gave her ice cream. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Paul, Sandy and family - I have already expressed my thoughts and feeling to Sandra on line and what more is there to say except she was a lovely, wonderful lady. I have know her since we were about 12 and of course there was the family connection with Ellie and Sam but we were friends first. Loved our golf outings, our bunco group, St. Theresa society. We were the hellions and did all the funny stuff along with the meetings I have so many happy memories of spending time with Carm.. The day all the guys went golfing for the Sacco wedding, we had a ladies luncheon and then she and I went back to my hotel and had drinks and buffet and had such great conversation and laughs. She was always my buddy except when we were opponents on the golf course. Ha Ha. It was an even match. Wanted to see her when I was home but the girls said she was receiving no calls or visits. She was a beautiful person who always had a smile on her face and a sparkle in her eye. Her passing will leave a great void in many peoples lives including her North High School ladies who lunch. We shall keep her in our hearts and always have fond memories of her participation in the many activities we have.
The North High ladies who lunch will keep all of you in our thoughts and prays and hope that the grief that you are feeling today will be replaced by the excellent memories of a life well lived.

Dear Mayer Family,
I am so sad to hear of Carm's passing. We played golf together for many years, and I attended high school with her nieces and nephews so I have known her and her sister Ellie for a long time. Such fun-loving women, and always so kind and so funny! I wish I knew she wasn't doing well as I would have loved to visit her. Sending up a prayer to her now. May she have peace. I know what it's like to have difficulty breathing. Her struggle is over. What a beautiful picture of her you have put with this obituary! She was truly lovely inside and out.
