Carmelo Cicala, 89, of Baldwinsville, passed away on Friday at Upstate University Hospital. He was born in Sicily, son of the late Angelo and Maria (Rigano) Cicala. Carmelo was a proud custodian with the Liverpool Central School D Read Obituary
So sorry to learn of Carm's passing. My condolences to his family and especially his wife, Olga, of 65 years. What a long, full and special life he lived. I, too, was a House 3 teacher at LHS. I loved Carm's sense of humor and pleasant outlook. He was always interested in what was written on my chalkboard and bulletin boards. Thank you Carm and God bless.

I am so very sorry for your loss. I was a Math Teacher in House 3 of Liverpool High School and Carm was my favorite Custodian of all time. I was known to stay after school to give extra help to students far past the 3:30 time period and Carm never got mad when he would have to skip my room and come back to it. I so enjoyed our Conversations we would have when he did come back. I really missed him when he retired. May God Bless Him.

Carm was a staple of the House 3 staff...oh, how we loved his sense of humor. He'd give you the shirt off his back if you needed help. My sympathies to his family. I hope the good memories sustain you at this sad time.

To Carmelo's family,
I taught Social Studies in House 3 and Carmelo was our custodian. A friend gave me a poster of Portofino, Italy. He was very happy to see it, and If memory serves me right he said that he was form there. I think that is when we became friends. He never called me Joe or Joseph but always called me Peppino. I will always remember that. I feel we have lost a very special person and friend. My thoughts and prayers are with in this time of loss.
