Although I had not seen Carmen in recent years, I called him about 6 weeks ago evoking memories of the good times and good friends we shared in our west-end neighborhood in earlier times.
Carmen was an honorable man with defined priorities of faith, family, and friendship. The great Irish writer and poet, William Butler Yeats, once wrote.....'think where man's glory most begins and ends, and say my glory was that I had such a friend.'
To his family I send profound condolences along with the certain knowledge that his love for each of you...is eternal.

We will miss you very much Carmen... Driving by in your beautiful Cadillac, driving on our front lawn with your mower, seeing if you could mow it before Dad or Mark! Lillianna will miss giving you hugs... I know you will watch over your family & friends from Heaven, like you did here on Earth. I have lived next door to Carmen, Helen (and MIke) for the past 11 years. Carmen would always greet you with a smile and be willing to help in any way. I always felt safe with Carmen around as he always kept a close eye on the neighborhood (and my house especially). He will be greatly missed.
Carmen was a very kind and friendly man I met him at bishop rehab and we became friend is main concern was always making sure Helen was ok .He will b greatly missed
