To the Spina and Simard families. I am a friend of Mrs. Simard's niece Peggy. Please accept my messages of sympathy and my prayers of comfort. I have known the family for over 20 years and wanted to write something in the guest book as I was not able to attend the funeral services, due to work constraints. My thoughts are with you. I will sincerely miss my friend of approx. 71 years. She was one great lady, great mother, grandmother and exceptional wife as her husband's profession took him away from home a lot. When she and Lionel were visiting in Germany they stopped to visit; when in Florida they would always stop. For the last 36 we lived miles apart but always stayed in touch. Her son Tom and my son Steve were great friends when young and spent time together drilling oil in Louisiana. Tom made a carrier and rose to the top - Steve returned home and finished college. Carolyn raised a great all American family of four sons and a beautiful daughter. My condolences and love to you all - She certainly will be missed!
