Catherine (Lizzio) Prince's Obituary
Catherine (Lizzio) Prince, 92, of Liverpool, passed away April 19, 2024 at Crouse Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Syracuse, daughter of the late Antonio and Josephine (Lamacchia) Lizzio. Catherine worked at Nichols Grocery Store in the Deli and Bakery Department for 25 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. Catherine was a person of great virtue, and her natural kindness made it clear to anyone who had ever known her, including family, friends, neighbors, and acquaintances, that she cared deeply for them. Unconditional love came naturally for her, and her greatest joy was when the entire family was together. She would go to great lengths to ensure everyone was happy and had everything they needed, always meeting the needs of others before herself. While she will be greatly missed by her family, her legacy of kindness and decency will live on for generations.
In addition to her parents, she is also predeceased by her husband, Salvatore Prince in 2003; her son, Salvatore Prince in 2015; her sister, Mary Renne and her three brothers, Thomas, Anthony and Pasquale Lizzio.
Catherine is survived by her three sons, David (Paula) Prince, Joseph (Pamela) Prince, and Anthony (Deidre) Prince; her six grandchildren; her seven great-grandchildren; her great-great granddaughter; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family and friends may call from 4:00 – 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, April 25, 2024 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse.
