Cecile E. (Sansone) Marnell's Obituary
Cecile E. (Sansone) Marnell, 64, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully at home on June 16, 2021. She was born in Syracuse and graduated from St. John the Baptist High School and St. John Fisher College. Cecile worked in sales at Toshiba for over 38 dedicated years.
She enjoyed life to the fullest. She particularly enjoyed traveling, shopping, gardening, caring for her dogs and most importantly making memories with her family.
She was predeceased by her father, Anthony Sansone, and sister, Rosalie Ann Rivizzigno.
Cecile is survived by her companion and best friend for over 25 years, Steven D. Morrell, and his children, Christopher and Danielle Morrell as well as her mother, Rosalie (DiPaola) Sansone; a brother, Robert (Patricia) Sansone; three sisters, Diane (Robert) Todd, Patricia (Brian) Malay and Joanne Daprano; and a family of cherished aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins all of whom she loved as if they were her own.
In addition, Cecile particularly enjoyed the company of her life-long friends, the Alessio Family.
A Funeral Mass in celebration of Cecile’s life will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at St. John the Baptist Church, followed by interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery, DeWitt. Family and friends may call from 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Monday, June 21, 2021 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Cecile’s name to CNY SPCA, 5878 E. Molloy Rd., Syracuse, NY 13211.
