C. Gregory Forbes' Obituary
C. Gregory Forbes, 69, of Syracuse, passed away Saturday, November 2, 2013 at St. Joseph's Hospital. He was born in Mt. Kisco, NY, the son of the late C. Graham and Anna (McCarthy) Forbes. Greg was a U.S. Army veteran. He received his Bachelor's degree from Oswego State and his Master's degree from Syracuse University. Greg was a teacher at Groton Central Schools and retired from West Genesee Schools in 2000 as a Guidance Counselor. He was a member of the Onondaga County Retired Teachers Association. Greg also volunteered with the Syracuse Symphony, WCNY, OMF Ontario Schooner Project in Oswego and H. Lee White Marine Museum in Oswego.
Greg is survived by his three siblings, Carol A. Forbes of New York City; Vincent G. (Pauline) Forbes of Corpus Christi, TX and Noel T. (Edrick) Forbes of Baltimore, MD; several nieces, nephews, cousins and his forever friend, Michele A. Delperuto of Syracuse.
Greg's family and friends would like to thank ICU at St. Joseph's Hospital for their loving care.
A funeral service in celebration of Greg's life will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, November 14, 2013 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME.
